This spring, we hosted a fundraiser for the people suffering in the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. We chose to donate to World Central Kitchen, which has been providing fresh, hot meals at a 24-Hour pedestrian border crossing in Southern Poland, and has since expanded service to Romania, Moldova, and Hungary.
For every dollar purchased through gift cards at Kampai, we pledged to donate $1 to WCK for up to a $10,000 match. We are so proud and excited to announce that with all of your help and donations, we were able to raise $12,700 for WCK in total!
As the invasion of Ukraine enters its 3rd month, it’s estimated that 11 million people have fled home. In response, WCK has served 15 million meals in Ukraine & 7 surrounding countries. This wouldn’t be possible without support from donors like you. We are forever grateful to all who participated in our gift card match and hope to see you soon at Kampai!
